J. Soukup & Co., Inc. was established in 1966 in Brookfield, Illinois. Founder, Joseph Soukup, long-time Casualty Claims Manager of Home Insurance Co., recognized the value of quality outside/field adjusters and opened his first office to investigate claims on behalf of insurers and defense law firms.

J. Soukup & Co., Inc. has been located in Hinsdale, Illinois, a near western suburb of Chicago, since 1975. Our investigators/adjusters are well-versed in all lines of liability investigations, including Automobile, General & Premises Liability, Products & Garagekeepers Liability, and Liquor Liability & Dram Shop.

Workers' Compensation claim investigations are regularly performed by out staff for compensibility and subrogation evaluation purposes.

Our Adjusting Services include obtaining recorded statements, inspecting/photographing accident scenes, locating/statementizing witnesses and skip tracing. We obtain official documents such as police reports/court records and routinely serve subpoenas and summons/complaints. Our office investigates claims within a 100 mile radius of the Chicago area, including Northwest Indiana.

We are a licensed private detective agency in Illinois and Wisconsin. Our Surveillance Services coverage range is the entire state of Illinois and the Southern half of Wisconsin. Our surveillance investigators are employees of J. Soukup & Co. and not independent contractors.

Our Fire Loss Consulting Services include fire scene cause & origin investigations, fire scene reconstruction, and the evaluation of the safe design and application of industrial and consumer products. We specialize in product safety, machine safeguarding, warning application and effectiveness, and safety & fire standards, codes and regulations.

(3) The location, disposition, or recovery of lost or stolen property. (4) The cause, origin, or responsibility for fires, accidents, or injuries to individuals or real or personal property.
